This stamp set was in FSJ's summer catalog and is called Lemonade Sip. Our current mini catalog is the holiday mini and you want to make your purchases from that catalog NOW before they're gone for good (like this cute set!!) September 30.
The base of this card is black licorice card stock layered with lemon drop card stock and whip cream card stock which has an oval cut and pierced from the journey ovals dies and my journey platinum machine. I stamped the lemonade pitcher twice in black licorice ink - once on whip cream card stock and once on lemon drop card stock. I cut the lemonade portion of the pitcher stamped on lemon drop card stock and adhered it to the pitcher stamped on whip cream card stock. I stamped the lemon on lemon drop card stock and popped it up on the pitcher using journey foam squares; the leaves were stamped and colored with my blending brush and lemon grass reinker. I stamped the sentiment in black licorice ink on a hand cut banner of whip cream card stock. I added a bow of black licorice gingham ribbon to the whip cream layer, adhered the lemonade pitcher to the card and popped up my top layer of whip cream card stock using journey foam squares.

Autumn officially begins tomorrow, so I decided this was the perfect card to post on the last day of summer. The bright colors and cheery flowers make the quintessential summer greeting. I created my background of sun, sky and grass using the Brush Stroke stamp set - seriously, it makes the perfect sun!! The grass is stamped in Lemon Grass, the sky is Pool Play and the sunshine is Summer Days. The flowers are from the Special Day bundle - I love the variety of flowers and stems this set has, AND they all have dies to make cutting them out a breeze! I stamped the stems in Lemon Grass and Kiwi Slice and the flowers are Sweet Berry, Citrus Cooler, Summer Days and Beach Breeze. The card base is Lemon Grass layered with Beach Breeze and Whip Cream card stock. I popped the flowers up with Journey Foam Squares for dimension and added Cut Rhinestones for some sparkle.
Do you have trouble getting a solid stamp to ink and stamp the image properly? Try this quick tip! When the stamps are manufactured, the rubber is poured into a mold to create the shape. The mold is coated in a substance that helps the rubber release easily from the mold. Sometimes that will leave a thin, invisible film on the stamp which prevents the ink from stamping evenly and completely. If you take an adhesive remover or nail buffer and **lightly** rub it on the stamp and then clean and condition with FSJ True Color Fusion Cleaner you will get a much better stamped image, especially with your solid images. You DO NOT want to rub so hard you remove rubber, you're just trying to get that thin film off the stamp.

I have been stamping for 14 years and am thrilled to be one of the first Fun Stampers Journey Coaches in Ohio. It was my honor to serve on the 2016-2017 Leadership Team for Fun Stamper's Journey.
